Pick-up Protocols
Protocol #1: Sign in by clicking the button above or finding the QR code at your pick-up location. This is so HAFA can ensure all shares are picked up and get real-time information on what is happening at our partnering sites!
Protocol #2: Please ensure your share box is from the Hmong American Farmers Association. Another CSA program may pick up shares from your location.
Protocol #3: Your veggie shares will be packaged directly into the box. This year, we are introducing our “Bring your own bag” system to reduce plastic use. Please bring your bags to pack your produce and take home. If you forget your bag, take the box!
Protocol #4: When you take out all your produce, please remember to break down the CSA box and leave it for us to pick up to sanitize and reuse. If you take the CSA box, please drop it off at your drop-off location as soon as possible so we can pick it up the following CSA week.
Protocol #5: Last but not least, ENJOY YOUR PRODUCE! Share with us on social media what your favorite produce or moment from the season is!

CSA Frequently Asked Questions
I am looking forward to my CSA share. How will I know what’s in it each week?
We will send out a weekly newsletter before you pick up your share, with information about what to expect in your box and a few recipes to help you.
I want to get a refund for my share. How do I go about that?
To cancel your share, please email us at csa@hmongfarmers.com and include “CANCEL CSA” in the subject line. Cancellations made one or more weeks before the CSA deadline date will be honored with a full refund. Cancellations made within one week of the deadline date will be refunded at half the cost. Once the CSA has started, cancellations may be made, but they will not be refunded, and your box will be donated to a food shelf for the remainder of the season.
I will be out of town and unable to pick up my share. Can I hold my box for next week?
We have pre-planned and contracted with our farmers beforehand. We will not be able to send out two boxes the following week. We highly recommend you arrange for a friend or neighbor to pick up your share that week. You may place a hold on your CSA delivery by emailing us. This will alert us to donate your box to a local food shelf for that week.
I want to pick and choose what produce goes into my box. Is customization available?
Because we have pre-planned and contracted with our farmers, all shares will get the same produce each week. We highly recommend that you share unwanted produce with your friends, family, and neighbors.
How do I change my pickup location?
If you want to change your pickup location, please do so the week before the CSA starts. Contact us at csa@hmongfarmers.com. However, because we prepare over 500 shares weekly, we do not recommend changing your location during CSA season and will not be reliable for any missing boxes during that time frame.
