Melvina is a Minnesota raised farm girl, with over 15 years of experience in growing and selling mixed vegetables and flowers with her family at the St. Paul Farmers Market. Through dedicating her time in farming and seeing the hard work from the farming families around her, she’s developed an appreciation in community building and support. In addition to farming, she has a passion for dance, which introduced her to a whole new community, where she continues to grow and support through teaching, traveling, performing and curating spaces for the MN dance community. Melvina also graduated from Metropolitan State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Finance.
During her free time she enjoys traveling, walking/hiking, eating, watching movies, and meeting new communities.

We are dedicated to advancing the prosperity of Hmong farmers through cooperative endeavors, capacity building and advocacy. HAFA was started and is led by family farmers. Organizing is in our DNA.
