Ariel Xiong currently serves as the Food Hub Director at Hmong American Farmers Association (HAFA). She was born in Winona, MN but raised in the Twin cities. Ariel has always had an interest in agriculture as a child from her experience with farming and gardening with her grandparents in Winona to selling produce, eggrolls, and spring rolls at the Saint Paul Farmers Market for the past 15 years. In 2021 she started off as a Packing Assistant at HAFA and in that short time, found a deeper passion in social justice and advancing health equity for Hmong, immigrant and BIPOC community. In her free time she truly enjoys learning more about the Hmong culture and spend time with her 3 cats.
